Artistry Unleashed Workshops Deliver
Visual and Performing Arts teachers became students for the day during Artistry Unleashed. Workshops from puppetry and dance to upcycled jewelry and introducing students to music engaged participants from 17 area communities in a full day that began with student performance and a key note from ceramic artist, social activist, and educator, Robert Lugo, known for combining classical pottery with graffiti-style painting.

Lancer Boys Soccer Make History
Lancer Boys Soccer team qualified to compete in the Division I State Tournament for the first time in program history, with their 5-2 win over Whittier Tech. Congratulations to Coach Escalante and the team for putting in the hard work! Let's go Lancers!

Visit from Bilingual Rionegro Group
Lawrence High School recently hosted some special guests from Columbian educational group Bilingual Rionegro. These six educators, their Secretary of Education and US liaison toured the Campus, visited classes and learned how Lawrence students excel in more than one language. The Bilingual Rionegro program currently provides English training for 530 students and 45 teachers.

Commonwealth Gives Back 2025
Parthum Elementary students and staff were presented with a check from Commonwealth Motors employees, Carlos Rodriguez and Charlene Kruszczynski, in a ceremony last week. Commonwealth has been a long time supporter of their neighborhood school. Thank you, Commonwealth!

35 New Electric Buses Charged up for Lawrence Students
There was lots of excitement at yesterday’s ribbon cutting ceremony for the new fleet of electric vehicles (25 school buses and 10 minibuses) that are serving Lawrence Public Schools this year, including from the people who would know best – drivers! Superintendent Carrero thanked them for the work they do every day, and bus driver Santiago Moya shared his experience so far, emphasizing that the benefits of a cleaner, quieter ride will be felt by both students and our neighborhoods. Thank you to the many partners who have made it possible, including the City of Lawrence, NRT Bus, EV infrastructure provider Zenobé, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) and MassDEP.

Sun Academy Girls Basketball Clinic a Success
Thank you to the WNBA Connecticut Sun Academy, Everyone's a Player and all the sponsors from bringing a free basketball clinic to LHS on Women's Equality Day. LPS Middle and High School girls enjoyed the workshops and basketball clinics offered.
