More than 250 people attended the first two sessions of ELPAC  held at the Lawrence Public Library in the morning and the NCEC in the evening. Parents learn about important information and resources that will help their children succeed in school.

Student talent once again brought the house down with their performances at the annual Lawrence Public Schools Opening Day event. Singing, dancing and instrumentals were enjoyed by all District staff and guests. We are looking forward to a great school year!

Staff at Guilmette Elementary were welcomed back today with a beautiful new staff lounge created by Wellpoint and Boston Bruins Foundation. Bruins' mascot Blades was on hand for photos and each staff member received some merch and school supplies that will be well used in their classrooms. Thank you to everyone who participated in making this a very special place!

School starts Monday, August 24, we're ready are you? The Family Resource Center was busy today getting more students registered in time for the start of the school year. They are in their new location at 41 Lexington St in the former Lawlor School building and besides registration they can help with supplies, resources and even uniforms through Catie's Closet. Superintendent Carrero and staff warmly welcomed almost 200 new LPS teachers at their first district training. They will be working around the city and are ready for the new year. Your new teachers will meet you in person on Monday, August 24th.

More than 200 families with a ninth grader came out this weekend to learn what to expect as their student starts at LHS, sign up for sports, meet their Principal and enjoy some lunch served by staff at the annual 9GA Family BBQ.

Families came out to cheer on their Seniors last night as 89 LHS students graduated in a special Summer ceremony. A a total of 880 Seniors graduated this year as part of the Class of 2026! Congratulations to all!
