Jesus Suriel
School Committee Member
Jesús Suriel is a community leader serving on the School Committee. Originally from the Dominican Republic, he moved to Lawrence at age 8 and has called it home ever since. A proud graduate of Lawrence High School, Northern Essex Community College and UMass Lowell, he works as Vice President of Community Banking and Development for the Merrimack Valley region at Reading Cooperative Bank. Jesús volunteers with the Merrimack Valley YMCA and Lazarus House Ministries and coaches youth basketball. He’s passionate about supporting families and strengthening Lawrence through civic engagement, and you’ll often find him at community events around the city.
